This is Claire’s second summer at camp but her first year with campers. She is so excited to be a part of the middle school crew this summer. She just recently graduated from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota with a degree in math education. She will start teaching after at Osceola High School after camp is done. Her favorite thing about HPR is the community and positive atmosphere. She is most excited to get to know the campers this summer.
Nathan Dirkes is a veteran camper here at HPR, this is his 10th year at camp and 2nd year as a staff member! He attends the University of Minnesota for Sports Management and his dream job is to either be involved within a professional sports teams front office or run his own sports agency! He loves soccer, camping, hiking, cliff jumping and working out. His favorite thing about HPR is having fun and always learning. He is most excited for the relationships that he will form with campers and staff!
Ava Vander Louw
This is Ava’s first year at HPR. She is a rising sophomore at Tufts University and she is planning to study International Relations and Environmental Science. Her dream job is to be an Environmental Justice Lawyer. She loves to paint, make jewelry, find cool places to hammock and play soccer + swim. She is excited to spend time outside, play field games, and meet her campers!
Eric will be back on the Middle School Team for his third summer at HPR. He is so pumped to be a part of such a great community! Eric is a Junior at Winona State University studying movement science with the hopes of going to Physical Therapy school. Eric loves the outdoors and is excited for his 3rd year at HPR.
This is Ally's 4th year at HPR and this summer she will be a part of the Middle School team. She just graduated from UW-Madison. Ally enjoys spending time with friends and family at the movies and theatre shows. Ally's favorite thing about camp is the way it makes her heart smile every day. Watching her campers grow and succeed in doing things that they never knew they could is really incredible. She is looking forward to another fun-filled and rewarding summer!!
This is Matt’s second year at HPR, but his first with campers. He will be a senior at the University of Minnesota Duluth this fall and he is studying Communications. He hopes to one day become a lawyer. His favorite thing about HPR is the bonds that you make with fellow counselors and campers. He is most excited about afternoon activities this summer.
