Our Ciqala (pronounced Si-call-ah) program is for campers entering kindergarten and 1st grade in the Fall of 2020. Ciqala translates as “Little One” in Dakota and offers our youngest campers a sampling of the programming in our Traditional program, in addition to age appropriate activities within a schedule that is developmentally appropriate for their age group. Monday through Thursday mornings, Ciqala campers will rotate around to a variety of morning lessons designed for their age group such as canoeing, archery, arts & crafts, nature camp craft, science and sports. We offer a mid-morning snack for these campers to keep them going strong until lunch. In the afternoon, they join the rest of the camp in afternoon choice activities. On Friday mornings, campers enjoy fun and games associated with a specified theme (such as Super Hero Day, Decade Day or Olympic Day). Ciqala campers will be given an opportunity to ride a horse during their session along with an option to sign up for additional time if they choose.
